Rental conditions for handpan rental

1. Rental Item & Contract Duration: You rent a handpan instrument from our range for a period of 4 weeks from delivery to you. An extension of another 4 weeks is possible upon request. The maximum rental period is 8 weeks per person and model.

2. Retention of Title The instrument remains the property of Max Neumann - Der Handpan Laden - 72336 Balingen at all times.

3. Rental Price & Credit towards Purchase The rental price is 15% of the respective handpan purchase price per 4 weeks. If you subsequently purchase a handpan from our range (any model), the rental fees paid (max. 2 rentals) will be fully credited towards the purchase price.

4. Condition upon handover: The instrument is inspected before shipping and handed over in perfect, playable condition. Any minor visual imperfections or manufacturing-related characteristics do not constitute a defect. The renter is obligated to report any visible transport damage in writing immediately upon receipt.

5. Care & Use: The handpan must be handled with care and used only as intended. Transfer to third parties, commercial use, rental, or use at events is not permitted without prior consent. The instrument must be protected from moisture, extreme temperatures, and improper transport.

6. Returns & Shipping Returns must be announced in writing no later than the second-to-last day of the rental period (see the delivery date of the tracking number). Returns must be sent via the return shipping label we provide. The handpan must be securely packaged, undamaged, and complete. Different conditions may apply outside of Germany. The decisive factor for timely return is the date of handover to the shipping provider.

7. Extension: Extending the rental period by another 4 weeks is possible at any time. Please notify us briefly by email at least 2 days before the end of the current rental period. If the instrument is not returned by the last day of the rental period and no extension has been requested, the rental will automatically renew for another period and be invoiced accordingly. If the handpan is not returned 14 days after the end of the second rental period, the remaining balance of the purchase price will be automatically debited.
In this case, the instrument is considered to have been acquired by the customer (purchase). This policy serves to protect our instruments and simultaneously creates a fair framework for all parties involved. The renter expressly agrees to this policy and acknowledges it upon completion of the order.

8. Damage, Loss & Liability The renter is liable for gross damage, loss, or willful damage. Minor signs of wear from normal use (e.g., fingerprints) are acceptable. In case of damage caused by negligence (e.g., dropping, transport without a bag), we reserve the right to claim the repair costs or the replacement value.

9. Cancellation & Return Policy For rental agreements with a specifically agreed rental period, there is no right of cancellation according to § 312g para. 2 no. 9 of the German Civil Code (BGB). The rental period is booked bindingly upon completion of the order.

10. Identity verification & fraud protection In the case of suspicious orders, we reserve the right to request photo identification or a deposit before shipping.

11. Final Provisions German law applies. The place of jurisdiction is the landlord's place of business.
